Popping the Reasons I Shouldn’t Want You

Each balloon waiting. Heavy with doubt and excuses that I’ve been holding onto longer than I should have. I didn’t need to create them for you to feel them.

Watching them disappear was strangely satisfying, and a little revealing.

By the end, there’s nothing left but honestly.. the the quiet realization that none of those reasons were strong enough.
